For the fifteenth year in a row, the Fast Talkers of America defeated the Slow Talkers of America in this year's Monona County Charades tournament.
Both organizations were well represented at the tournament, with the STOA fielding all two hundred and fifty seven members. All three of the members of the FTOA were on hand to compete.
In reaching the finals, the FTOA faced no serious competition in their flight. The STOA found themselves in the finals after all twelve of their early-round opponents conceded in the first five minutes of competition.
The tournament was well-covered by local media, which included nationally-known journalist and interviewer Nell Clummer.
As of this writing, the president of the FTOA, Pilo Fard, was in the third hour of his victory speech. Harriet P. Whitcomb, president and recording secretary of the STOA had no comment.
