The Siouxland Marketing Association held its annual awards banquet Friday evening at the Anhydrous Convention Center in downtown Sioux City.
Each year, the SMA presents the "Sooie" awards for outstanding work in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, and Spin Control.
Girnt Shpilkes of Shpilkes Discount Marketing won a near sweep of this year's awards, losing in only one category.
Notably, Shpilkes was awarded the Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for the second year in a row.
